Marketing evening at the University of Applied Sciences Bielefeld


“Personalities, profiles, perspectives”: this was the motto of a marketing evening with Mirco Welsing at the University of Applied Sciences Bielefeld on May 11th. The event is part of the WiMento program, a mentoring program initiated by the business faculty that aims to establish mentoring relationships between students and managers. TMC GmbH has supported this future-oriented program since 2014 with Mirco Welsing in the role of mentor to the students.

This informal event had two goals: first, the expert presentation of marketing content from practice, and second, insights into personal career paths to provide students with ideas and inspiration for their own career planning. Mirco Welsing was joined in this effort by fellow experts Dirk Markus, Head of Marketing at Creditreform Herford & Minden Dorff KG, and Martin Pfleiderer, Head of Corporate Communications at the IT company TAROX. The three men complemented each other outstandingly during the discussions, offering students valuable insights into the practice of marketing from a wide variety of viewpoints.

Feedback on the event was very positive. Mirco Welsing comments: “It’s not just the students who benefit from events like these. Questions from participants also provide us with new ideas, let us know about the latest industry publications or just spark a very productive discussion.“
